Time

If time is so precious, how can my wish for its hastened passage be recognized as anything but a grievous disdain for the life I've been given?

Your wishing for its hastened passage is not to be confined within an "anything but". Some wish for time to pass by so they may experience better things, or get to a better point in life, or reach a long-desired milestone. None of those are innately bad.

Question the cause of your desire for the quickening of time before you question the desire itself.

Looking forward is not the same as wishing to fast-forward. I think that the latter is fundamentally wrong, and that anyone who finds themselves making such a wish has a serious problem that needs to be dealt with.
